We spend 113,760 minutes of our lives
brushing our teeth.

stories

osteoarthritis

Arthritis makes everyday tasks a continual challenge for Susan – getting dressed, holding a mug, and even brushing her teeth.

“I can’t use a manual toothbrush because it’s too small and it’s just too painful. The problems that I have are angles and my pain. What would help me is a changeable head for certain areas in my mouth, because one doesn’t fit all.”

stories

arthritis & soft tissue damage

Shirin’s struggle with arthritis and soft tissue damage have led her to improvise new techniques when brushing her teeth, all to avoid unnecessary pain.

“I don’t use a toothbrush how you’re supposed to use it, how it was designed to be used. It’s something that you’re doing every day, so why not make it easier?”

stories

psoratic arthritis

Difficulty with smaller surface areas often leaves Amanda feeling frustrated, with everyday objects such as can openers, hair bands and toothbrushes never suited to her needs.

“What might be good for me might not be good for somebody else, so the fact that you can make it bespoke to each person is incredible. Just that little bit more comfort makes a huge difference.”
